Baglio Aimone is located within the WWF Protected Oasis in the Mazara del Vallo area, at the top of the ridge of an enchanting hill whose view undisturbed dominates the vineyard, the karst lakes and the surrounding Mediterranean scrub.
After years of assiduous work with the competent bodies for the protection of the architectural and landscape heritage, in 2016 the company obtained the authorization to begin the restoration of the farmhouse for the creation of the new cellar, turning the intuition into reality and giving life in “Baglio Aimone”. The winery consists of approximately 30 hectares of vineyards, cultivated exclusively with native Sicilian Grillo, Zibibbo, Catarratto, Grecanico and Nerello Mascalese grapes.
The training system is Guyot counter-espalier, with an average density of 3500 vines and a yield of less than 80 quintals. per hectare. The lands of Baglio Aimone present a regular development around the ancient property, which stands on top of the ridge of an enchanting hill in the heart of the WWF Protected Oasis, included with the restriction of Integral Reserve, among the protected natural areas of the Plan Regional Parks and Reserves.
